I've been taking an oil painting class and having fun exploring the medium. I did this little piece in class and it happened to fit Sasee's theme this month. I'm becoming very obsessed using oils, so there will be lots more paintings to come...

My very first plush animal!

I just happen to find this today. I guess the publishers of my book, "L" is for Library, decided to create a plush animal from my little cat character. You can see how little involved I am- I don't even own one! This is the first time one of my characters turned 3D, and they even gave him a name, Cal D. Cat. Though, he was really based on my fat little Leah cat.

I followed Leah around the house for weeks with a camera to research this book. Cats have very dull lives.

It looks like Leah approves of the book, but really she's just trying to figure out how to knock it on the floor. Then she'll move on to chew on all my brushes seen in the background.

Wellesley Art Show

I was apart of a art show in Wellesley, MA in the Wellesley Free Library, along with some other Freelance Artists Network members.

Art of the Story 2007 Gallery Opening

This is the 3rd year I have been able to be apart of children's film festival and children's book artist show in my hometown of Fall River at the Cherry & Webb Gallery.
It's a great little event with lots of local illustrators and movies creative from children's books. This year's theme was all about dinosaurs.

Here's a few of my pictures, including my purple dinosaur for the show.
